Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how “TIME ACADEMY” LLC (“we”, “TIME ACADEMY” or the “Company”) collects, uses and protects the personal data of users of the TIME ACADEMY mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you accept this Policy.

1. Who the App is for

The App is a private application intended solely for enrolled students of the TIME ACADEMY language center. There is no open sign-up in the App — accounts are created by the center (administrator) and provided to students. The App does not sell any products or services.

2. Data we collect

To operate the App, we process the following data:

  • Account data: first name, last name and email address.
  • Password: your password is never stored in plain text — it is kept only in an encrypted (hashed) form.
  • Device notification token: your device’s Expo push token and platform (iOS/Android), used to deliver push notifications.
  • Educational data: your group, class attendance (how many lessons you attended) and homework-related information.
  • Technical logs: minimal server logs (request time and type) kept for the proper functioning and security of the App.

We do not collect location (GPS), contacts, photos or other sensitive device data.

3. How we use data

  • To create your account and verify your identity;
  • To show you your lessons, attendance, group and homework information;
  • To send you relevant push notifications;
  • To maintain the security and proper operation of the App.

4. Third-party services

We use Expo (the Expo push notification service) to deliver push notifications, and we store our data with a secure hosting provider. These parties process data only to provide their service. We do not currently use analytics services; if this changes in the future, this Policy will be updated. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When your account is deleted, the personal data associated with it is removed from our systems (except where retention is required by law).

6. Account and data deletion

You may delete your account at any time using the “Delete account” button in the profile section of the App, or by writing to info@timeacademy.az. When your account is deleted, your personal data and device notification token are removed from our systems.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@timeacademy.az.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical measures to protect your data: passwords are stored in hashed form, secure tokens (JWT) are used for authentication, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

9. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for the center’s enrolled students, primarily users aged 18 and over, and is not available to the general public.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect on the date it is published on this page.
